The Director of Naval Intelligence

State for the Colonies, and has the honour to forward

for his information, the attached extract from Hong

Kong Intelligence Report No. 1/38, dated the 4th of

January, 1938, which has been received from the

Captain on the Staff, Hong Kong.

A similar extract has been sent to the

Foreign Office.
